Mid-Winter Sale
I'm having a mid-winter sale in my Etsy shop. 25% off all cowls and any other winter accessories I may run across in the next week or so. I made a lot of cowls for my holiday shows and while I did sell many of them, I have more than I want to store all summer so I thought that I'd hopefully clear some of them out with a sale. I'll be adding more as I get pictures taken so keep checking back.

Free Shipping in My Etsy Shop
I decided to give out a code for free shipping at my next two craft shows in case for some reason, someone wants to order later. That way they can still get the price they would have gotten at the show. (I wish I'd thought of doing this at my last show.) And while I'm at it, I decided to extend the coupon to my blog readers and Facebook fans.
Here are the details:
Use coupon code FSGRWIN2011 for free domestic shipping in my Etsy shop until 1/1/12. (Contact me for international shipping and I'll give you a discount.) Feel free to share the code with whoever you like.

SALE in My Etsy Shop
I'm having a small end of the year clearance sale on felted clutches and pouches in my Etsy shop. I'm clearing out these lines to make room for new ones. Including several different kinds of fingerless gloves.

I also neglected to ever mention how the Flint Handmade Holiday Craft Market went after posting about my panic. I had more than enough stuff--as usual I overdid it. But at least now I have plenty of stock. I had a lovely time at the show. Everyone was super nice and friendly and I sold well enough to make it completely worth my time. I will definitely make it a point to try to get into Flint Handmade events in the future.

New Colorway - Boat Drinks
I listed a new colorway called Boat Drinks in my Etsy shop over the weekend.

Most of my sale yarn is gone now--I had quite a run on it. I do have a few more skeins of sale yarn to list still. And I may have a few undyed skeins around that I could dye up and sell--when I get a chance. I'm working hard to fill up the shop with new yarn, so I will try to fit that in when I can.

Lots of Yarny Stuff (and a Sale)
I have a new sock yarn base (which I love) which I think I've mentioned before. I have just started dyeing it and I have decided to put all of my older sock yarns on sale for 25% (or more) off. So check it out in my Etsy shop.
I also have a brand new colorway called Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me which was just listed in the shop today (but is on the new base yarn and so is not on sale).

I also listed another new colorway a couple of weeks ago which I never mentioned here called Browncoat--I think it's my new favorite colorway of mine. (That may be partially because of the name, which is a reference to the canceled tv show Firefly and the movie Serenity.)

It sold today, though. I will be trying to get a new one in the shop this week--dyed on the new base yarn no less.
I took a picture of a few of the newly dyed yarns to show off.

From left to right they are: Nightswimming, Valentine Michael Smith, Superhoney and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me. The Superhoney looks a bit washed out next to the others, but it doesn't really look that pale in real life.

Shameless Advertising
As I mentioned before, my Etsy street team, Etsy FAST (Fiber Arts Street Team) is having a trunk show at the Etsy Labs on November 16th. From now until then, many of the Etsy FAST shops are having sales--including mine. Currently everything in my Etsy shop is 15% off the price listed.

Check out the other shops participating in the sale by going to the Etsy FAST website.

My Handspun
I haven't gotten around to spinning any of that merino I handpainted. I'm probably a bit nervous about it--and I haven't decided whether to spin it on my spindle or my wheel. I don't use my wheel enough, but I think that's probably because I don't have anything decent to sit on when I'm using it. I need to buy this.
Since I haven't spun anything recently, I thought I would post some older pictures of handspun like I said I might. All of the following were spun on a spindle.

This is merino--some of the first yarn I ever made. Most of it was already used in a scarf for my sister.

This is Blue-Faced Leicester that I dyed after it was spun with food coloring. It got a bit wonky because of that, I think, but it's still okay. I'm not too fond of the color, though.

I can't remember what this is (possibly Blue-Faced Leicester). I dyed it with coffee after it was spun. There's quite a bit more of this--it's supposed to be a hat and scarf for my dad if I ever get it done.
Well, I guess that's a sampling of my handspun anyway--I do have quite a bit more, but I think this is enough for now. I'm still learning, so I'm not super thrilled with it, but...
I'm joining in the Saturday Night Specials on Etsy again tonight. I haven't done it in a while, since the four or five other times I've done it I didn't make any sales. But since I haven't wanted to list on Etsy for a few days because of the search problems, I thought I would do this tonight. So 15% off everything in my shop until 3:00 am EST. Shop away.

Saturday Night Special (Sale!)
I'm participating in the Saturday Night Specials at Etsy tonight. I'm offering 15% off everything in my shop until 3:00 am EST tomorrow. (Just mention SNS in the comments at checkout and wait for a revised invoice.) This is my 4th or 5th time doing this and I haven't made a sale yet--maybe tonight is the night. One can only hope. The yarn I put on sale the other day didn't even last 24 hours, so I guess you never know.
It really apppears that I have tons of sales in my Etsy shop. That's really not accurate, so no one get upset when I don't have many more. It's just an odd coincidence that so many seem to have happened all at once. I may participate in the SNS a few more times, but if I don't make any sales, I'm probably going to stop. It's kind of disappointing.
My Treasury got a lot of nice comments before it was gone forever. I'm really glad I did it. It was nice to see how many other Tom Robbins fans there are on Etsy. Yay Tom Robbins!

Sale In My Etsy Shop
Well, it's not exactly a store wide sale, but I put two of my handpainted yarns on sale for $10 (from $13) because they will be expiring in a couple of weeks and I don't plan to renew them. They were very early ones, dyed with food coloring and Kool Aid and since I'm using "real" dye now, I would just as soon let them go. I think they're just as pretty as the new ones though (and I'm still a bit amazed at the colors I got on the blue/green/purple one)--it's just me being a bit silly, I guess.

If you buy them both and mention this blog post in the comments, I'll even give you free shipping as well. What a deal, eh?

Happy Birthday to Me
Today is my birthday and because of that (and also because I know no one reads this blog anyway), I am offering 33% off one item in my Etsy shop to anyone who mentions my birthday in the seller's notes at checkout. Don't pay immediately and I will send you a revised invoice as soon as I can. If you buy more than one thing, I will take the 33% off of the most expensive item. This sale will end at 12:00 am EST. I will be gone this evening, but when I get home, I will check for sales and send out revised invoices. Oh, and if you know me, please still feel free to get in on this sale. Someone should and I don't know who else will be reading this.
